CONGRATULATIONS you need search no further, you have reached the summit of the mountain of Sailing organisations that pepper the South Coast of England!
Spirit Sailing was set up by Steve Le Butt over 9 years ago, ( that's him on the left trying to look cool! ) and is now widely accepted as by far the best sailing outfit around. Our base is in Haslar Marina in Gosport, next to Portsmouth - the thinking man's Hamble! This is the perfect place from which to set sail, easily accessible from London by train, and straight out onto the sea in 5 mins. We sail modern, clean and comfortable yachts, we have outstanding instructors and skippers with the best sense of humour on the Solent, and we have ENORMOUS FUN!
Spirit Sailing
was originally set up as an RYA recognised sail training centre, and although the Sailing School still forms the beating heart of the business, offering the full range of RYA courses from Competent Crew through to Yachtmaster, we now also run large regattas with hundreds of participants and dozens of yachts.

Over the years the range of services we provide has grown from RYA Sail Training courses, through to the organisation of outstanding Corporate Entertainment and Team Building events, fund-raising events for charities, RIB treasure hunts and related RIB services. and 'champagne ' racing in Cowes week and the famous Round the Island Race in June. Whichever angle you are interested in we guarantee to leave you with a sense of complete satisfaction. It is a matter of great pride to us that every single client we have worked with, from multinational corporate businesses such as Goldman Sachs, Barclays bank, Heineken and Wight Collins Rutherford Scott, right through to competent crew students, have rebooked with us for the following year!
