The boats we use
Over the years we have used a wide variety of boats. Some have proven more suitable for sail training, some better for corporate entertainment and some for racing. We therefore use different boats for different purposes, but for most of our general sailing and training we use the Jeanneau 40. They have a large open cockpit with seating for 8-10. Three large double cabins and a drop-down saloon table gives eight good sized berths plus a cheeky little skippers berth under the chart table.
They are modern, clean, comfortable and warm, with diesel powered central heating, so you are cosy and warm even in January! A large fridge can accomodate 26 bottles of champagne, as we discoverd on a Hen Party we ran last year, and the hot shower is a real boon when the marina facilities are full to bursting.
The twin wheel steering arrangement allows 'dual control' which is invaluable for parking practice, and is very reassuring for the training yachtsman as they come into the berth.

And the cockpit is large enough for the impromptu parties that seem to be an inevitable conclusion to so many of the evenings we spend aboard!
