We organise team building courses between one and three days in duration. The crew may be involved in every aspect of running the yacht, from steering, sail handling, navigation, meal preparation and watch keeping. Skills are taught by the skipper to individuals who then teach others, emphasising communication skills.
Throughout the team building course everyone is focused on constructive and positive input. They are encouraged to think about their contribution and the impact they have on the outcome. The evenings in the pub provide a forum in which everyone comments on the challenges of the day, having watched others attempting tasks that they had just completed, or were about to try. The constant change of roles helps to build a sense of empathy for their colleagues. The ultimate aim is to engender a sense of support for each other.
